Star Choices Inc. was honored to host the Georgia Learning Community for one of its annual board planning retreats at our Macon, Georgia office.
As an organization committed to supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Star Choices was proud to provide meeting space for leaders dedicated to strengthening services and building more inclusive communities throughout Georgia.
During the retreat, board members focused on governance, strategic planning, organizational priorities, and preparations for the 2026 Annual Gathering and Mini Gathering. These events bring together people with disabilities, families, Direct Support Professionals, providers, advocates, and community partners to learn from one another, build lasting relationships, and celebrate the power of community.
Hosting the retreat also created an opportunity for meaningful collaboration with fellow providers, advocates, state partners, contractors, and other professionals who share a commitment to improving person-centered supports across Georgia. These conversations and partnerships continue to strengthen the network of organizations working together to create better opportunities for the people we serve.
Star Choices values its longstanding partnership with the Georgia Learning Community and appreciates the important work the organization does to promote collaboration, education, and innovation throughout Georgia’s disability services community.
We look forward to supporting and participating in both the Annual Gathering and Mini Gathering in the coming year and to continuing our shared mission of empowering people with developmental disabilities to live meaningful, connected, and fulfilling lives.
